Vandals smother car in butter and soil in bizarre attack leaving driver fuming

A driver was left fuming his car was smothered in butter and soil in an odd act of vandalism.

Declan Furlong OBrien checked on his car and noticed something wasn't quite right.

The 24-year-old went outside at around 11pm on Wednesday to take a closer look at his car which was parked outside his house in Dunham-On-The-Hill.

It was then he found his car coated in a thick layer of butter and fresh soil was scattered over the roof and car bonnet, Cheshire Live reports.

The vandals had rubbed butter on all the car door handles, wing mirrors, windows and even left the empty tubs beside the car.

Declan believes vandals targeted his car sometime between 8pm and 11pm.

He said: "They threw multiple loads of soil on to the car bonnet and roof.

"They then smeared butter all over the windows, wing mirrors and door handles.

"What’s worse, is with this being during Covid-19, I can’t imagine that they’d taken proper precautionary actions by wiping their hands before manually wiping them all over the car!"

The car was due for its MOT (cheshire-live WS)

Declan has only had the car since March and took it to be cleaned earlier that day, it was also due for its MOT this morning.

"What is wrong with some people, seriously," he added.

"I live on a busy main road too, so this was either someone who lives right by me or it was targeted."
