Teen firebugs have been slammed for torching a popular playpark.
The hoods set alight climbing frames within the old swimming pool on Prestwick seafront.
Flames were seen shooting 20 feet into the air during the late night blaze.
Now community leaders have called on the thugs to be caught.
Julie Twaddell, who heads up the Friends of Prestwick Seafront group, said: “It’s a great shame.
“All these people have succeeded in doing is spoling the fun of others.
“The playpark is hugely popular among children and is an important attraction at the seafront.”
Police are appealing for information after the incident, which took place shortly before midnight on Tuesday, October 1.
