The Vancouver Whitecaps picked up their first point of 2019 on a Cascadia Cup draw versus the Seattle Sounders, and they are looking for their first win tonight against the LA Galaxy, who might be without Zlatan.
Zlatan had a goal in a 2-1 win over the Timbers in his return from an Achilles injury but didn’t play on turf like tonight during the regular season a year ago. Last year’s match at BC Place was a 0-0 draw, so look out for Zlatan to strike tonight if he plays.

The Caps should definitely have their chances against an LA Galaxy backline that is giving up a goal-and-a-half this season. You would have to go back to July 2017 to find the last time the Whitecaps beat the Galaxy, and when they are at the top of their game, they are tough to stop. Vancouver’s midfield will have to be more effective than they have been this season to stop the Galaxy from moving the ball up the field. Should be a fantastic match to watch, let’s see if the veteran Galaxy can hold up the Caps.
Potential Lineups
Vancouver: Crepeau, Adnan, Henry, Godoy, Nerwinski, Erice, Teibert, Hwang, Reyna, Venuto, Montero
LA: Bingham, Feltscher, Steres, Polenta, Sjelvik, Lletget, dos Santos, Allessandrini, Corona, Antuna, Ibrahimovic
