Van Morrison announces two socially distanced indoor gigs at London's Electric Ballroom for September

Van Morrison will play two indoor, socially distanced gigs in London next month.

The Northern Irish icon will play the reduced-capacity shows at Camden’s Electric Ballroom on September 5 and 6.

Attendance will be capped at 400 people for each gig, with tickets only available to buy in groups of four, six and eight.

The gigs are set to be among the most high-profile indoor gigs the capital has seen since the beginning of lockdown.

Indoor performances are currently prohibited under Government restrictions, although these measures could be lifted as soon as August 15, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.

Vince Power, who is promoting the gigs, said that the shows will be “two very unique and special gigs and the chance to see an incredible performer in a very intimate environment”.

Tickets are on sale now and can be bought here.

Van Morrison first played the Electric Ballroom in 1964 — when the venue was known as the Buffalo Club — and performed there once again when it relaunched under its current guise in 1983.
