Van Morrison has announced he will play two intimate gigs in Northern Ireland this summer.
The two exclusive shows will take place at The Helicon theatre at Seamus Heaney HomePlace, Co Derry on August 1, following the 73-year-old's headline slot at the new festival series Van Morrison tickets to go on sale for Botanic Gardens show on June 23.
Tickets for the Bellaghy gigs will be limited to 202 seats per show, providing a unique opportunity for the audience to get up close and personal with the legendary singer.
This will be Morrison’s debut appearance at the venue, which has particular resonance. Both Morrison and Heaney are celebrated for their creative use of the vernacular in a way which brings language to life for those who read and enjoy their art.

The Helicon, located in Seamus Heaney’s hometown of Bellaghy, is an intimate performance space, designed with a nod to the Greek theatre which Seamus Heaney so loved.
Tickets for these two special events are priced at £130 each and will go on sale on Friday, May 10 at 10am, available online only from the website .
