Van hits house in Perth in horror crash as one casualty treated at the scene

Emergency services raced to the scene of a horror van crash in Perth where a van has smashed into a house.

One casualty has been confirmed who paramedics treated at the scene.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were alerted after the incident this afternoon on Strathallan Bank after a vehicle struck a building.

Scottish and Fire and Rescue services say the initially mobilised three appliances to assist and that one casualty was treated by ambulances crews.

Police were first alerted at 5:15pm and road diversions have been put in place in the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.15pm on Monday, January 11, officers were called to a road crash where a van has struck a house on the B935, Forgandenny.

"Emergency services are at the scene."

Stagecoach announced local services will avoid the area after the "bad accident".

A post on Twitter read: "Service 17 just after Forgandenny, been a bad accident road is closed, Service 17 will serve Bridge of Earn, Kintillo then back on motorway to Dunning, reverse route back until road is open."
