Van driver rushed to hospital after crash with bus in Aberdeenshire

A van driver has been taken to hospital following a crash with a bus in Aberdeenshire.

The busy A90 road was shut down around 12pm this afternoon after the bus and the van collided near Kirktown Brae, Fraserburgh.

The driver of the van was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

Police have confirmed he was later released and the road has reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.10pm on Monday, 15 November, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving a van and a bus on the A90 at Kirktown Brae, Fraserburgh.

“Police and Ambulance attended and the van driver was taken by Ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and later released. The road reopened around 4.30pm."
