Vama Sarthi chief inaugurates toilet for women, play school

AYODHYA: The Ayodhya police is taking giant steps to provide better facilities to cops, especially women and their families. Chairperson of Vama Sarthi Police Family Welfare Association, Sonia Goyal, inaugurated a toilet complex for women cops at Kotwali City police station of Faizabad and at Ayodhya police lines and also dedicated a play school and a garden for cops’ children.

Goyal also inaugurated a subsidized canteen at police lines, where cops can buy grocery, toiletries and other items of daily use at cheap rate. She also interacted with families of cops and discussed issues related to children’s education, their career, health, medical treatment and other family matters.

Talking to TOI, Ayodhya SSP Shailesh Pandey said, “Developing separate toilet complexes for women cops is a first-of-its kind initiative in Uttar Pradesh. The intercation between the chairperson of Vama Sarthi and the wives of policemen is a new approach to create a comfortable environment for the families of cops.”
