VALORANT rank distribution (2025)

Rank distribution in VALORANT changes with every Act, as players strive to reach their dream Elo. As someone who spends hours queuing for competitive matches every day, you may wonder what the VALORANT rank distribution looks like as of Season V25, Act Four in 2025—here’s the answer to your query.

Ranked is a daunting endeavor for any player in any tactical shooter, and VALORANT is no exception. With thousands of active players aiming to reach the top of the ladder, the VALORANT rank distribution curve is the easiest way to understand where you belong in this bittersweet journey of wins and losses.

While Developer Riot Games doesn’t release official information on rank population, popular third-party tracking site vstats.gg provides a rank distribution curve for the ongoing Act based on the accounts it tracks. Here’s what the VALORANT rank distribution is as of March 2025.

What is the rank distribution in VALORANT?

Below is the image of VALORANT’s rank distribution a couple of weeks into Season V25, Act Four, according to the data tracked by vstats.gg.

Here’s every VALORANT rank and the percentage of players they hold at the time of writing:

  • Iron One: 1.58 percent
  • Iron Two: 3.27 percent
  • Iron Three: 4.49 percent
  • Bronze One: 7.93 percent
  • Bronze Two: 8.08 percent
  • Bronze Three: 6.42 percent
  • Silver One: 9.27 percent
  • Silver Two: 7.72 percent
  • Silver Three: 6.07 percent
  • Gold One: 8.03 percent
  • Gold Two: 6.47 percent
  • Gold Three: 4.69 percent
  • Platinum One: 5.55 percent
  • Platinum Two: 3.99 percent
  • Platinum Three: 2.78 percent
  • Diamond One: 3.35 percent
  • Diamond Two: 2.57 percent
  • Diamond Three: 1.84 percent
  • Ascendant One: 2.29 percent
  • Ascendant Two: 1.54 percent
  • Ascendant Three: 0.85 percent
  • Immortal One: 0.78 percent
  • Immortal Two: 0.24 percent
  • Immortal Three: 0.15 percent
  • Radiant: 0.05 percent

By this data, most VALORANT players in Season V25, Act Four are placed in the Silver rank. Silver One is the most populated rank division at 9.27 percent. So, if you’ve been stuck in Gold or below, which is otherwise known as the Elo hell, you’re certainly not alone.

Since vstats.gg’s data is based only on the number of players it could track, you may wonder if there’s any official graph for the VALORANT rank distribution in 2025. Unfortunately, Riot has only released the numbers once, showcasing the distribution back in the summer of 2021. Here’s the graph from back then:

As you can see, the current rank curve is much more evenly distributed. The top of the ranked distribution—Ascendant, Immortal, and Radiant—is noticeably low on players, which is expected in a title as competitive as VALORANT. That said, with age, the ranked grind is seemingly getting easier in the tac shooter, with players finding it easier to rank up, exactly what Riot wanted in the first place.

In a dev diary from August 2021, competitive designer Jon Walker relayed the team’s sentiment that there were too many players with lower ranks and not enough players with higher ranks. Their hopes for the future at that time were to reduce the number of players in Silver and move players to the ranks they belong in. While Silver is still the most-populated rank technically, players are managing to get past the Elo hell it was before. So, don’t lose hope and keep up the grind.

We’ll update this article with any changes to the VALORANT rank distribution in 2025.
