VALORANT’s latest update, Patch 11.04, is here—and it’s packed with changes that shake up the meta, fix some glaring bugs, and improve core features.
Set to go live on Aug. 20, VALORANT Patch 11.04 brings crucial changes to Chamber, Sage, and Sova, as well as gameplay system tweaks, map pool shifts, general updates, and bug fixes. The patch also kicks off Act Four of Season V25. Despite some exciting highlights, however, it’s still a surprisingly small update for an Act opener.
Let’s check out the full VALORANT Patch 11.04 notes.
All changes in VALORANT Patch 11.04
Chamber, Sage, and Sova changes

The latest VALORANT patch notes officially introduce the major Chamber buff that Riot had intended for Patch 11.04 but mistakenly rolled out in Patch 11.02. The update removes the range restriction from his Trademark, giving him greater strategic and positional flexibility.
Sage’s wall and ultimate ability, Resurrection, have received a cast range boost, enhancing her space-controlling potential by increasing her safety. Here’s a summary of the stats change:
- Wall cast range has increased from 10m to 15m
- Resurrection: Sage resurrection range has increased from 6m to 12m
As for Sova, his ultimate, Hunter’s Fury, now sports updated visuals to “resolve more quickly and take up less gameplay space.”
Besides changes to agent kits, Patch 11.04 also updates Phoenix’s voicelines and adds new dialogues between him and Vyse.
Map pool changes
As part of the usual ritual at the start of an Act, Icebox has been removed from the competitive map rotation, replaced by Abyss, which returns after a long absence.
Minimap (visual and audio) updates
Patch 11.04 packs a bunch of player-centric changes related to the minimap, all meant to make minimap reading easier and reduce visual distractions.
For starters, if you’ve ever thought of this as a problem (we didn’t), minimap ping sounds are now less “harsh” to provide a less jarring experience for players sensitive to the audio cue.
Starting now, if you cast an AOE ultimate like Viper’s Pit or Killjoy’s Lockdown, you’ll be able to see a difference in indicator colors between ally and enemy casts on the minimap. Lastly, all ally zones now appear a consistent teal, while enemy zones appear a consistent yellow on the minimap. You’ll only see ability icons on the minimap if the abilities are destructible.
General updates

VALORANT Patch 11.04 doesn’t skip out on some player experience updates either.
You can now gift skins via the Esports store section. The gifting feature was previously restricted to the Daily Store section. Additionally, players can now connect to a new server in the Asia-Pacific shard—the Manila server in the Philippines.
All bug fixes in VALORANT Patch 11.04
Now that we’ve covered all the feature updates, it’s time to mention some squashed bugs. Here’s everything that was fixed in VALORANT Patch 11.04:
- An issue where a Concussed player’s crosshair would stop moving while debuffed, provided they quickly entered and exited a pilotable ability like Cypher cam or Sova drone, has been fixed.
- A bug that allowed the minimap to still show the deactivation range of Chamber’s Trademark while equipped has been fixed.
- A bug where KAY/O’s ZERO/Point would reveal exact opponent locations with an audio cue has been fixed. This was taken care of in Patch 11.02, but wasn’t officially announced until now.
- If you weren’t seeing bullet tracers passing through Astra’s Cosmic Divide and Harbor’s Cove, this bug has now been fixed.
- A bug that played the wrong voiceline during round-start when Phoenix & Tejo are both present has been fixed.
- A bug has been allowing Neon players to skip her unequip delay by binding High Gear to multiple keys. This has now been addressed.
- A bug affecting the Split map has been blocking Molotov abilities from spreading properly up stairs after hitting the ground. It has been fixed.
- An issue for end-of-game screens after a Competitive match, where characters were cut off in some languages, has been fixed.
- An issue on the Awards tab of Premier mode, where characters were cut off in some languages, has been fixed.
You can hop into the new Act four on Aug. 20 once you download Patch 11.04 after the brief server maintenance ends.
