VALORANT patch notes 10.10: Raze changes, Ranked Rollback adjustment, Collection updates, and more

Riot Games has continued to deliver on its promise to reduce the amount of visual clutter in its FPS title, as the VALORANT patch 10.10 focuses on enhancing the clariy of effects from a couple of Raze’s abilities.

This patch also brings some solid improvements, including a better Ranked RR Rollback system as well as cleaner interfaces on both PC and console, and the launch of Pick’Ems for Masters Toronto. Of course, there are the usual bug fixes and gameplay adjustments.

Read on for a full breakdown of VALORANT patch notes 10.10.

Raze changes

Raze’s Boom Bot and Paint Shells have gotten a visual update to better match their actual hitboxes. The effects also fade out faster now, which helps cut down on visual noise during fights. It’s a purely cosmetic tweak, but one that makes a real difference, especially if you’ve ever been outmaneuvered by hyper-aggressive Raze mains.

Ranked Rollback adjustment

Riot first rolled out Ranked RR Rollbacks in patch 10.05 to help make up for matches ruined by cheaters or disruptive players. They’ve taken it a step further with patch 10.10, raising the cap for Radiant players and below on how much RR they can get refunded within a single Act. It’s definitely a welcome change for anyone who’s had their ranked grind derailed by unfair games.

Collection updates for PC and console

Riot’s starting to bring the PC and console experiences closer together by unifying the user interface across both platforms. They’ve made some early tweaks to the Collection page to help streamline things and keep the layout more consistent for everyone. Here’s what’s changed:

  • All content types (including Player Card and Sprays/Flex) are now available on the Collection page, matching PC layout
  • Gamepad navigation system for the Collection page has been improved

  • Minor layout updates

With the VALORANT Masters Toronto on the horizon, Riot has announced the return of Pick’Ems. Starting May 28, players can participate in the Masters Toronto Pick’Em challenge through the in-game client or website, and make predictions for the Swiss stage and double elimination playoffs.

You can earn an exclusive title just by simply playing. Those who finish in the top 50 and 20 percent get additional rewards.

Tejo ultimate in Swiftplay and other mode updates

Tejo took some heavy nerfs in the last patch, including an increase in the number of orbs needed to unlock his ultimate, Armageddon. To balance that out a bit in Swiftplay, Riot has increased the starting ult points from two to three (this actually went live in the last patch but was not mentioned in the official notes). Going forward, any nine-point ultimates will follow the same scaling rule in Swiftplay.

Meanwhile, Icebox is still out of rotation for Deathmatch and Escalation modes. Riot’s still working on fixing the spawn issues that popped up back in patch 10.09.

Agent bug fixes

Omen

  • Reverted a bugfix that was released in 10.08, which should fix the issue where dead allies spectating Omen could see through nearsights (most notably Viper’s ult) if Omen is using Dark Cover
  • Reintroduced (and still investigating) the issue where Omen could not see properly when casting Dark Cover if he was overlapping another dense smoke (smokes that obscure vision inside, e.g. Jett Cloudburst, Brimstone Sky Smoke, etc.).

Vyse

  • Fixed an issue where Vyse’s Arc Rose hit confirm would play when affecting non-players
  • Fixed an issue where Vyse could no longer use Arc Rose for the remainder of the round if it was placed too close to the spike

Deadlock

  • Fixed a bug where jumping could inconsistently dodge Deadlock’s net toss despite players being inside the affected area

Tejo

  • Fixed an issue where Astra’s concuss always affected Tejo’s stealth drone as long as the drone had line of sight to the concuss
  • Fixed an issue where Tejo’s rockets could get hindered by Waylay’s saturate and Convergent Paths

Yoru

  • Fixed an issue where Yoru’s flash visual decals would linger on walls they bounced off of

Brimstone

  • Fixed an issue where Brimstone’s ultimate visuals drew underneath the map

Movement updates on console

  • Walk/Run Threshold in Settings > Controls > Movement updated to allow for a wider range.
    • Min value 0.5 > 0.001
  • Movement Deadzone in Settings > Controls > Movement updated to allow for a wider range.
    • Max value 0.5 > 1.0
