VALORANT Patch 12.03 notes: Masters Santiago Pick’ems, new LTM, and Gekko changes

VALORANT Patch 12.03 gears us up for the upcoming Masters Santiago, and introduces another limited-time mode. This one is all about mechanics and gunplay, unlike the mayhem and chaos of All Random One Site.

Here’s everything included in VALORANT Patch 12.03.

Masters Santiago Pick’ems

Pick’ems are back for Masters Santiago, the first Masters event of the VCT 2026. As always, pick the teams you think will win in their respective matchups and earn rewards if you guess right. From Feb. 19, predictions for the Swiss Stage will be available in the game, and you can pick who you think will advance from each group. For bonus points, you can predict a team that will make it out with a 2-0 record.

Here are the rewards you can earn from Masters Santiago Pick’ems:

  • Make all your picks: Cachando Todo title
  • Top 50 percent: ¡Rico, Po! buddy
  • Top 20 percent: Pick’ems Master: ¡Rico, Po! buddy
  • Perfect bracket: Perfect title

Skirmish: 2v2 limited-time mode

After being available solely in custom games, Skirmish is coming to matchmaking as a 2v2 limited-time mode, featuring the same maps. No Agent select, no abilities, no economy—only mechanical skill and gunplay, with the first team to 10 rounds winning the game.

Gekko changes

Patch 12.03 brings several important changes to Gekko’s kit. The reclaim timer for his abilities is extended to 20 seconds (from 15) and, most importantly, his Mosh Pit is now also reclaimable. This should create more opportunities to play around the reclaim ability and also make Gekko stronger overall.

Mandatory MFA in APAC

Following the EU in Patch 12.01, APAC accounts flagged for sharing, and all Ascendant+ players must enable Riot Mobile multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access the Competitive queue. This is to reduce smurfing, as other modes remain unaffected.
