Real Madrid head into today's match third in the Spanish top-flight, eight points adrift of Atletico and 15 behind leaders Barca.
They will still be expected to take care of business against a Valladolid team majority-owned by the original Ronaldo that sit 16th and only three points above the relegation zone.

Another poor result here would surely seal Solari's fate, if that has not happened behind closed doors already.
Real Madrid beat Valladolid 2-0 in his first LaLiga game in charge back in November thanks to late goals from Vinicius Junior and Sergio Ramos, and you would expect a similar outcome in the return fixture despite the club's recent woes.
However, Valladolid will be encouraged by the fact that their opponents will be missing several players through injury and suspension.
