
A MAN will face court following an alleged brawl on Valentine's Day which ended when a gun was shot two times in a Cardiff street.
About 11.15pm on Sunday February 14, Lake Macquarie police were called to a home on Newcastle Street, Cardiff, following reports of an affray between a group of men.
Upon arrival, police spoke with a 26-year-old man, however were unable to locate any further persons nearby.
A 21-year-old man was been charged in relation to the alleged affray, he remains before the courts.
Following extensive inquiries, police received information that a firearm was allegedly produced during the brawl and discharged twice.
On Tuesday March 16, officers attended a property on Newcastle Street and spoke with a 37-year-old man.
He was arrested and taken to Belmont police station where he was charged with fire firearm in/near public place and fire firearm manner likely injure persons/property.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Belmont Local Court on Wednesday.
