Valencia send hilarious tweet to Arsenal after Liverpool's miraculous comeback against Barcelona

Valencia are ready to take inspiration from Liverpool's incredible Champions League comeback against Barcelona as they look to mount their own assault for the Europa League final.

Jurgen Klopp's side produced an incredible comeback in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, coming back from 3-0 down on aggregate to win 4-0 on the night at Anfield and progress to the final.

A brace apiece from Divock Origi and substitute Georginio Wijnaldum sealed a famous win for the Reds, and they will face either Ajax or Tottenham in the final on May 25 in Madrid.

And Valencia, who face Arsenal in the second-leg of the Europa League semi-final on Thursday, will also have to overcome the odds if they are to progress.

The La Liga side trail the Gunners 3-1 after the first leg at the Emirates Stadium last week.

An early header from Mouctar Diakhaby had given Los Ches a priceless away goal, but two goals from Alexandre Lacazette, and a late effort from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed Unai Emery's side a vital two-goal cushion ahead of the Gunners' trip to the Mestalla.

After the Liverpool game, Valencia's English language Twitter account wrote: 'So, it CAN be done...' with a 'fingers crossed' emoji.

Arsenal fans will be hoping for the opposite, as they bid to reach the final in Baku.

The north London side are set to miss out on a top four place, after a damaging 1-1 draw with Brighton on Sunday left them three points behind Tottenham; and an inferior goal difference.

So the Gunners will have to lift the Europa League trophy on 29 May if they are to qualify for the Champions League next season.
