Big-hearted businesses have been keeping staff at the Vale of Leven Hospital well fed with free pizza.
Sizzlers and Pizzanova in Alexandria and Domino’s Pizza have been turning up with boxes of food for the healthcare staff.
Workers thanked the firms on the newly set up Vale of Leven Coronavirus Support and Assistance Facebook group.
And Palombo’s chippy in Balloch announced on Monday (March 23) it would close but, up until 7pm, it would be providing free food to NHS staff.
On Sunday Shannon Craig posted: “A massive thank you to the staff at Sizzlers for keeping the staff at the Vale hospital well fed with your free pizza.
“It’s very much appreciated by all the staff. Much love from ward 14.”
Ian Middleton replied: “Well done Sizzlers. Thank you for looking after NHS staff.”
And Maureen Ward said: “It should be remembered when all this is over and order from Sizzlers.”
On Wednesday night, Yvonne Margaret Thomson gave a shout-out to Dominos, saying: “Can I say a big thank you to Domino’s Pizza for the free pizzas delivered to the staff at the Vale hospital last night free of charge. So thoughtful.”
Fiona Craig replied: “They were delicious. Thank you Dominos.”
Pizzanova on Main Street in Alexandria also did their bit, delivering a big batch to staff.
Stephen McAlpine said: “Things like this will be remembered.”
Val Archibald said: “Thank you so much, it was greatly appreciated by staff on duty.”
