Vadodara is 6th district to get ‘nal se jal’

GANDHINAGAR: The state government on Tuesday said that Vadodara has become the sixth district in Gujarat to have achieved 100% coverage of water connection through taps. The ‘Nal Se Jal’ scheme is being implemented across the state.

The districts of Botad, Anand, Gandhinagar, Mehsana and Porbandar have already achieved 100% coverage of piped water connections, a government statement said.

Chief minister Bhupendra Patel said that the state is committed to achieving piped water to all homes by the end of 2022. He was speaking at a function to dedicate development works at Savli in Vadodara on Tuesday.

The CM cautioned people against wasting water. He said it is important to save water in whatever way possible by using it judiciously.
