Anyone travelling abroad from Northern Ireland between July 20-25 can soon download their vaccine passport from the comfort of their own home.
The current process is transitioning to the planned CCS (COVID Certification Service) with the first phase starting this weekend for all new COVID certificate requests.
It means those heading away will be able to download the certificate and QR code, which offers security against fraud.
The updated process will make it easier and quicker for people to access their certificate, removing the need to collect them in person.
Meanwhile, applications for a certificate for travel on July 19 closed at 5pm on July 16.

Hard copies of the certificates can still be requested via telephone on 0300 200 7814 from Tuesday, July 20 but this process can take up to 10 days and this should be factored into your travel plans.
Certificates are posted to your home address.
