Vaccinations at workplaces mulled by Japan's health ministry

COVID-19 vaccinations at people's place of work is being considered by the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry.

These vaccinations would apply to those under 65, the ministry said Monday to certain ruling party organs. Previously, the plan was to have these people vaccinated at hospitals or gymnasiums where they are registered as residing according to their resident record.

However, there is the concern that this system will increase the burden on local governments, as people will have to take administrative procedures to get vaccinated in a municipality in which they are not registered as residing.
