In the first week — from June 21 to June 26 — a total of 46.32 lakh doses were administered. However, after the first week, there were several hiccups due to the unavailability of vaccines. Overall after the first week of the drive, only around 44 lakh doses have been administered in the next two weeks till July 11 in the state.
On June 28, vaccination was carried out in only half of the districts and on June 30, there was no vaccination at all. It resumed on July 1 and on July 3, only second dose of covaxin was administered.
On July 5 also only second dose of covishield was administered. Vaccination was carried out on July 8 and then on July 10. Later on July 12, only meagre vaccination was carried out, said sources.
