A torn ACL, offseason surgery and rehab may have slowed Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson’s basketball action to a halt, but his love game appears to be in full bloom.
Over the weekend, “Vacay Klay” Thompson shared photos on Instagram from his vacation through France, with all images featuring girlfriend Laura Harrier — including a romantic nighttime shot of the couple standing at the base of the illuminated Eiffel Tower.
The location set to Anse De Maldormé on his Instagram post, Thompson wrote the following to accompany the images:
Le Tour de France avec mon amour
Tour of France with my love (translation)
As with the Warriors teammates who have been to the NBA Finals five years in a row, winning championships in three of those years, Thompson must have been mentally and physically exhausted after the season — especially after tearing his ACL in Game 6. Now, it appears he is not only enjoying hard-earned time off, but falling in love.
Thompson has been linked to Harrier for several months, but this is the first time he confirmed the relationship publicly. From the replies to his post, Thompson’s teammates, both past and present, approve.
But they did not skip the chance to sling some jokes at the expense of the most quixotic Warrior:
