DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand Congress members, including state chief Karan Mahara and ex-CM Harish Rawat, met Rahul Gandhi at Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir during the Bharat Jodo yatra of the party on Tuesday.
In the meeting, the Congress leaders discussed the Joshimath situation and termed it “alarming”.
Former state chief Pritam Singh said, “Rahul Gandhi expressed his concern and shared his views on the matter”. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said, “The BJP government was late to react on the matter. Timely intervention could have saved Joshimath from land subsidence issues.”
