ROORKEE: The body of a 22-year-old man was found hanging from a steel hook on the wall of a house in Beldi village in Roorkee area of Haridwar district.
On a complaint filed by the deceased's father, police registered a murder case against four persons, including a woman. Police claimed that the father had alleged that his son was strangled to death as they suspected him of having an extra-marital affair with the wife of one of the accused persons. Police are yet to make an arrest in the case.
According to police, the victim, Saurabh, worked as a motorcycle mechanic. He was seen sleeping in his house on Friday night, and his body was spotted by villagers the next morning on the outer wall of a neighbouring house.
