MEERUT: A 25-year-old woman was found hanging in her room by her mother-in-law when she went to wake her up early Sunday morning in Hapur’s Simbhawali area. Her 11-month-old granddaughter lay motionless on the bed. She had been strangled to death.
Police suspect that Rinki (25) killed her daughter, Riya, before ending her life. They have booked her husband, Ravi Yadav, and in-laws based on the deceased’s family’s complaint that they were harassing Rinki. Her in-laws claimed that Rinki took the extreme step following a tiff with Ravi, who works in a private firm in Noida, over money the night before.
