LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party MLA from Isauli in Sultanpur Abrar Ahmad was booked for allegedly making objectionable comments against Brahmins and Thakurs.
The FIR was lodged by Om Prakash Pandey on the basis of a video of the MLA’s interaction with people from Ajuhi village on September 28. Pandey said the MLA made indecent remarks against Brahmins and Thakurs which led to a furore among people and disturbed peace.
SHO, Sultanpur Kotwali, Anil Kumar Singh said an FIR had been lodged against the MLA. SP Sultanpur Vipin Mishra said the video would be thoroughly examined. The MLA, however, extended a written unconditional apology.
