Uttar Pradesh: School head booked for abducting, raping teacher in Shahjahanpur

BAREILLY: A director of a private school in Shahjahanpur has been booked for allegedly abducting and raping a teacher of his school and also making a video of the sexual assault.

SSP Shahjahanpur, S Anand, said an FIR under IPC sections 366 (abduction), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) have been registered against the accused, on the complaint of the victim's parents and sections of IT Act will also be added to the FIR.

The accused is being interrogated, police added.

Meanwhile, SSP Shahjahanpur has deployed four teams to search for the survivor. Uttar Pradesh finance minister Suresh Khanna met the family members of the survivor on Thursday and assured them that their daughter will be found soon.

According to the FIR, the 22-year-old rape survivor was asked to accompany the accused for "some school-related work" two months ago where he allegedly gave her a sedative-laced drink, raped her and filmed the act.

Since then, the family alleged, the accused had been blackmailing her using the video clip and forcing her to have a sexual relationship with him.

The woman's father in the complaint said that his daughter narrated her ordeal to them on July 26.

He immediately contacted the accused and asked him to delete the video but the latter threatened him with dire actions and later "abducted" his daughter.

The SSP added, "The accused is being questioned by our crime branch team. We have recovered a video which was shot in a hotel in Shahjahanpur and it will be included in the investigation."
