Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh on Sunday registered 468 new COVID-19 cases, surging the active case tally to 8,986.
The state also witnessed 1221 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
State's recovery rate now stands at 98.2 per cent.
The state has registered less than 500 daily cases since March 21. According to state additional chief secretary Navneet Sehgal the overall positivity rate in the state stands at 3.1 per cent.
In the past day, 2,89,943 sample tests were conducted and the total tests in the state has gone up to 5,33,45,463.
On the vaccination front, 2,29,35,815 has so far been vaccinated. In the past day, 4,58,810 people were vaccinated which included 2,35,683 people of 18+ age.
