LUCKNOW: The second phase of online counselling process for admission to over 2.5 lakh BEd seats in around 20,000 colleges across the state began on Saturday following declaration of the seat allotment results by Lucknow University which is the examination conducting body.
“The process of online registration for the second phase of counselling (from state rank 75,001 to 2,00,000) began on Saturday. Candidates have to lock choices from the list of colleges available on the website,” said BEd state coordinator Amita Bajpai. She said the candidates have to note down codes of the colleges of their choice and fill them in as many numbers as possible in the order of their interest so that they can get admission in the BEd college of their choice, she added.
The UP Joint Entrance-Examination BEd 2021 was held on August 6. About 5.9 lakh candidates had registered for the entrance test, of which 5.3 lakh appeared in the examination. The results of the test were declared on August 27.
In the first phase of the counselling, the candidates who bagged ranks from 1 to 75,000 were given the opportunity to lock seats in various colleges.
