LUCKNOW: According to a preliminary probe into the accident, conducted by two assistant regional transport officers (ARTO) of Barabanki, the mishap took place at the 25th milestone on the Purvanchal Expressway. The report rules out any technical glitch in the buses as the cause of the accident.
"The two buses had their fitness expiring in 2023," the report says, adding that the buses are badly damaged. The report also said that it could be "human error" on the part of the drivers of the vehicles and also the managers of the cafeteria/restaurant on the expressway, close to which the accident took place.
