GORAKHPUR: The impact of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directives regarding the use of loudspeakers can be seen at Gorakhnath temple as the temple management, taking immediate steps, has slowed down the volume of loudspeakers on Thursday evening, ensuring that its sound should not go outside the temple premises.
Talking to TOI here on Friday, temple staff Vinay Gautam said, "The volume of the loudspeaker is slowed down and now its sound is not going outside the temple premises." The temple took this step following the CM's directives regarding use of loudspeakers at religious places, he said, adding that the volume of the temple loudspeakers was reset so that it should not cause inconvenience to people.
Gorakshpeeth is the biggest peeth of Nath sect and is known for its social welfare activities and for its bid to ensure social harmony without consideration of caste and creed. Yogi Adityanath is the peethadheeshwar of the temple.
