LUCKNOW: Ahead of the state assembly elections, the district election office (DEO) on Wednesday announced the dates for the revision of electoral rolls which includes enrolment of first-time voters, removal of names due to death or relocation, and other amendments.
People may apply for revision of electoral rolls from November 1-30. All objections and claims will be settled by December 20 and the final electoral rolls will be issued by January 5, 2022.
According to the DEO, the first-time voter or a person turning18 on January1, 2022, whose name has been left out due to transfer from one constituency to another, can apply through Form 6. Migrants may apply for inclusion in electoral roll through Form 6A.
Removal of name due to death or relocation can be done through Form 7. A toll-free number (1950) has been issued for the revision campaign for information. Special campaign for revision of electoral roll will be organized on November 7, 13, 21 and 28.
