LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed the officials to take care of medical facilities and cleanliness in Gautam Budh Nagar and Siddharthnagar districts in view of reports of outbreak of cholera and diarrhoea there.
Pushing for an improved surveillance, Yogi said that every patient should be monitored round the clock and officials should make sure that patients receive the best of treatment while ensuring there is no shortage of medicines.
He said that the sanitation drive should be stepped up by spraying anti-larva chemicals, fogging and cleanliness drives.
According to the officials of the health department, the state government’s special cleanliness campaign to curb the spread of communicable diseases and vector-borne diseases in the state has played a major role in bringing down the transmission levels. The officials said that the support and cooperation by the citizens in controlling the spread of seasonal diseases has also strengthened the state’s fight against them.
Meanwhile, reviewing the flood situation in the state, Yogi directed the officials to compensate the farmers in case of crop loss after assessment in the next 15 days. The revenue and agriculture departments should complete this work on priority in coordination with each other, the CM said.
