
Universal Studios Japan in Osaka announced Monday that a new area of its theme park, dubbed Super Nintendo World, is set to open on Feb. 4, 2021.
Super Nintendo World, a section featuring attractions based on the Nintendo games, was originally scheduled to open this summer, but was postponed because of the spread of the novel coronavirus.
A portion of the area's centerpiece attraction, "Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge," was made available to the press. Visitors can reportedly enjoy riding in carts that can zip around at high speeds in combination with the latest video technology.
