Using Christmas leftovers - creative recipes that will please the whole family

Christmas day is behind us but we bet that fridges around the UK will still be stocked with unused treats and leftover ingredients from the festive feast.

But with these clever recipes you'll have the whole family pleased and back begging for seconds in no time - and hopefully you won't need to nip to the shops for extra ingredients.

With turkey to spare and roast potatoes aplenty, provided you've stored everything correctly, people around the country will soon be getting bored of roast dinners.

From turkey and ham pie to refried roast potatoes, each of the three meals set out below should please even the fussiest of eaters - and are made up of classic Christmas dinner ingredients.

'Next level' turkey & ham pie

This delicious pie uses up leftovers from Christmas and is a hearty, deep-filled turkey and ham pie, made using shop-bought pastry - and it only takes 40 minutes to prep.

All you need is leftover turkey and ham, plus a few other ingredients commonly found in cupboards year-round.

There are just four simple steps, starting with the sauce and ending with putting the unbaked pie in the oven, and after just 40 minutes of cooking, you'll be done.

Refried roasties

This one sounds delicious right from the outset, and who doesn't love the idea of fried roast potatoes?

Best of all, it's quick, easy, and uses up leftover potatoes - which no doubt you have a near never-ending supply of.

Simply fry some onions until they caramelise then add in some leftover potatoes, and toss them until they become crispy.

Full instructions are available here.

Turkey cobb salad

This one's a little trickier and you might need to nip out for fresh avocados, but it's worth it as soon you'll be dining on a deliciously fresh salad.

It takes 25 minutes to prep and just 12 to cook, and full instructions are available here.
