Former collaborators Justin Bieber and Usher reportedly got into an intense altercation during an Oscars afterparty hosted by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, according to TMZ.
Sources who spoke to the outlet said Usher arrived at the party, held immediately after the awards show on Monday at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, in a state of “energy and anger” before he and Bieber had a “heated exchange”.
The cause of the argument is not known, but the insider claimed no physical contact was made between the pair.

Rumours of a feud between Usher and Bieber have been rumbling since at least 2024, when Bieber turned down Usher’s offer to appear on stage with him when he headlined the Super Bowl Half-Time show.
Usher clarified that there was “no love lost” after Bieber declined, and said he anticipated working with the pop star again at some point in the future.
But the rumours kicked up again in 2025 when Bieber unfollowed Usher on Instagram alongside a bunch of his former management team including Scooter Braun.
Some fans theorised Bieber unfollowing Usher was connected to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest, since both hip-hop artists were his mentors earlier in his career, but that link has never been confirmed.

Per TMZ, Usher and Bieber attended the Oscars afterparty alongside the likes of Teyana Taylor, Timothée Chalamet, Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kris Jenner.
Usher discovered Bieber through Braun when the “Baby” singer was just 13 years old, and was a key mentor during his early success. The pair have collaborated on tracks like “First Dance”, from Bieber’s 2009 debut EP My World, and the remix of Bieber’s 2010 song “Somebody to Love”.
Neither party has commented publicly on the reported altercation.
