'Useless!' - Angry Man United fans can't believe what David de Gea has done against Chelsea

Chelsea and Manchester United fans have been reacting to David de Gea's mistakes in the FA Cup semi-final.

The Spaniard was somewhat of a surprise starter at Wembley given Sergio Romero has been the cup goalkeeper all the way from the third round.

However, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to restore his first-choice goalkeeper for the big game.

Although, it's a decision the Norwegian is probably now regretting after de Gea's two errors against the Blues.

Whilst some may have had some sympathy with the stopper for Olivier Giroud's goal, there is certainly no hiding place for Mason Mount's strike just after half-time.

The England international's rather tame looking effort somehow squirmed underneath de Gea and into the back of the net, leaving the Red Devils with a massive mountain to climb.

As expected, there has been a big reaction to the mistake on social media.

Interestingly, Chelsea's Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has recently been compared to de Gea.

“Kepa’s got a long-term contract at Chelsea and I’d like to see him there," Rob Green told talkSPORT. “It’s a bit like how David de Gea was at the start of his United career.

“He was absolutely destroyed at the start and now it’s one of the best things that’s happened to him in the last decade.”
