LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed health officials to see that beds reserved for Covid-19 patients are used for treatment of patients suffering from viral diseases. The CM told officials to make sure that every patient receives the best treatment. “It must be ensured that patients should receive the best treatment and there is no shortage of medicines and other medical equipment,” the CM said during a review of the disease situation on Friday morning.
He deputed principal secretary, medical education, Alok Kumar to oversee all necessary arrangements to patients in Agra and Firozabad districts where a surge in fever cases has left authorities worried. The CM also told officials to ensure that the local health authorities are in touch with the patient families.
The CM reiterated that all necessary steps to prevent waterlogging and water-borne diseases that are increasing due to the wrath of the weather must be taken. He told officials that no laxity will be tolerated in the special disease prevention and surveillance drive being launched across the state from September
5. Urging people not to panic over the situation, the CM asked the medical administration to make sure patients’ health updates are given to family members at regular intervals.
