LOS ANGELES _ USC appears to be on a recruiting hot streak.
Alijah Vera-Tucker, an offensive lineman from Bishop O'Dowd High in Oakland, and defensive lineman Hunter Echols from Los Angeles Cathedral announced their commitments to the Trojans' 2017 recruiting class Friday.
"This is a blessing and it has been a real positive experience," Vera-Tucker wrote on Twitter.
Wrote Echols: "I'm officially committed to The University of Southern California... Fight On."
Vera-Tucker, 6-feet-4 and 275 pounds, chose USC among scholarship offers from California, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington.
The 6-4, 220-pound Echols, who was once committed to UCLA, held offers from Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana State, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi and Nebraska, among others.
