Usain Bolt has hinted at the possibility of putting one of his Olympic gold medals on the line against NFL star Tyreek Hill.
The pair have had several exchanges over who is the faster runner, as the Kansas City Chiefs player is keen to go head to head with the eight-time Olympic champion.
The conversation has heated up again in recent weeks and Bolt considered a proposal by Dan Patrick during an appearance on his show.
The host suggested the pair could go head-to-head in a 70m race, while putting their coveted possessions on the line.
Bolt, 34, responded: "That would be big," Bolt said while laughing. "I don't think he's gonna go for it."
He added: “He’s been talking so, we’ll see. We should put some thoughts into that one.”
Asked if he relishes the challenge, the Jamaican replied: “Yeah, I said it to him, I texted him and I was like you keep talking, I might just show up.”
Hill responded to Bolt’’s comments with a tweet which read: "someone give him some attention."
The 100m and 200m world record holder responded with a clip from google showing 4.22 seconds, the time it took him to run the 40m, verses Hill’s time of 4.29 seconds.
Hill has been adamant in his claim that he could take Bolt in a 40-yard dash. Bolt pushed that notion aside in an appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show" in late July.
"I ran a 4.22 (40-yard dash) in my sweats and some shoes," the sprint king said to McAfee. "I told Tyreek, 'You got no chance!'"
He reiterated this during his chat with Dan Patrick and he is not convinced he would be beaten by the wide receiver over the shorter distance.
“I still don’t think he can take me in 40m, even if he gets there it’s going to be really close,” he continued.

At his training camp ahead of the new NFL season, Hill fired back at Bolt’s claims and told the media: “He's old. He's washed up. And he can't see me at 40 yards," Hill said.
"Hundred-yard dash? Yes, that's what he do. But 40-yard dash ... Usain Bolt, you cannot see me."
In high school Hill put up times of 10.19 in the 100m and 20.14 in the 200m.
Bolt ran 9.58 to take the world record at the World Championships in 2009, and ran 19.19 to take the 200m record at the same event.
