USA vs Wales prediction and odds as Rob Page's side prepare FIFA World Cup campaign

Wales return to the World Cup stage for the first time since 1958 after the successfully saw off Ukraine in the play-offs to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Rob Page's side feature in Group B with neighbours England, Iran and USA - who they will face in their opening match.

The Dragons are 23/10 with bookies Betfred while the USMNT are the slight favourites at 7/5 and a draw is 21/10. This is the first meeting between the two nations at the World Cup with USA picking up a win and a draw in their two friendlies.

Head coach Gregg Berhalter will be looking towards the likes of Chelsea's Christian Pulisic and Leeds United's Brenden Aaronson to make an impact on the world stage while Juventus' Weston McKennie is facing a race for fitness having not featured since October for his Serie A club.

Wales' Rob Page will be pleased to learn Gareth Bale is fit enough to play 90 minutes in all three group games despite only making appearances off the bench for MLS side LAFC. Joe Allen will not be risked for the first group stage match as he looks to recover from his injury he sustained back in September.
