USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings, June 11: New champ-champ Henry Cejudo soars

It almost goes without saying that Henry Cejudo now finds himself No. 1 atop two divisions in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings. The UFC flyweight champion added the bantamweight belt to his collection with his sensational victory over Marlon Moraes at UFC 238.

But the question which remained was this: How high would he climb the pound-for-pound rankings?

As it turns out, the answer is up to No. 4. That’s not a bad spot, considering the three ahead of him are a fellow champ-champ (Daniel Cormier), an undefeated champion (Khabib Nurmagomedov) and a man without a legitimate defeat on his record (Jon Jones).

UFC 238 was eventful, the sort of card which can lead to big rankings shakeups. Women’s flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko scored a sensational knockout of Jessica Eye in Chicago, which helped her maintain her No. 2 spot behind a former opponent who has defeated her, bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes, in the women’s pound-for-pound ranks.

To find out where the rest of UFC 238’s movers and shakers landed, including Tony Ferguson, Tatiana Suarez, and Peter Yan, check out the rankings above.
