UFC 241 was one one of the year’s most eventful fight cards. Stipe Miocic’s fourth-round finish of Daniel Cormier had implications both the heavyweight division and the pound-for-pound rankings. Nate Diaz’s win over Anthony Pettis was memorable. Middleweight Paulo Costa had a star-making win over Yoel Romero.
Those are just the top three fights on an event with implications up and down that card. And no, we haven’t forgotten about Kyoji Horiguchi’s upset loss in Japan, either.
So how does this all shake out? To be honest, Diaz’s win over Pettis, while impressive, isn’t enough to bump into a crowded welterweight field after three years off. But otherwise, there was plenty of other fighters moving up and down.
