USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie MMA rankings, May 14: Andrade inches up pound-for-pound list

Jessica Andrade claimed UFC gold this past week in Brazil, and she joined a pretty elite group of our peers in the process.

After a trademark slam saw Andrade (20-6 MMA, 11-4 UFC) render Rose Namajunas unconscious in the main event of UFC 237, “Bate Estaca” is not only a UFC champion but also slides up to No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie MMA women’s pound-for-pound rankings, trailing only the likes of Amanda Nunes, Valentina Shevchenko and Cris Cyborg.

Meanwhile, over in Bellator, Douglas Lima (31-7 MMA, 13-3 BMMA) was the big winner for the sport’s No. 2 promotion. The former welterweight champ scored a vicious knockout of the previously unbeaten Michael “Venom” Page and now moves up two slots to No. 8 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie MMA welterweight rankings.

Take a look at those divisions and more in our latest rankings update.
