USA TODAY re-ranks Ohio State football No. 1 in the country

Our friends at USA TODAY go through a re-ranking of all the college football teams after each week of action, and there’s always some movement. There’s still plenty of naysayers out there when it comes to just how good Ohio State is, but the latest efforts done by Paul Myerberg is not one of them.

He has continually moved the Buckeyes up after seeing them each and every week, and now they can move no higher. That’s because in the re-rankings just released he now has Ohio State as the top dog in college football.

That’s right, the Buckeyes jumped Alabama to take the top spot after an impressive showing against a ranked Michigan State team this past weekend.

Right behind Ohio State and Alabama are Clemson (3), LSU (4), and Georgia (5). Oklahoma (6), Wisconsin (7), Florida (8), Penn State (9), and Notre Dame (10) round out Myerber’s top ten re-ranking.

Here is the complete re-ranking of the top 25 on USA TODAY’s website.
