The Tennessee Titans may have dropped their most recent preseason contest to the New England Patriots, but that hasn’t stopped them from opening as favorites to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 of the preseason.
USA TODAY listed the Titans as slight favorites over the Steelers by a point spread of (-2.5).
Last week, the Titans fell 22-17 to the New England Patriots in Nissan Stadium. The team led for the majority of the game, but let it slip away in the final quarter.
The Titans saw more success in the preseason opener, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles on the road, 27-10.
The Steelers remain undefeated midway through the preseason, topping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-28 in the first game, and handing the Kansas City Chiefs a 17-7 loss last week.
It’s not hard to see why sports bettors feel a little better about putting their money on the Titans, though, considering the momentum the team held in Week 2 over such a prestigious team after absolutely dominating in Week 1.
But, it’s also worth noting the Titans have yet to win a game against Pittsburgh since Sept. 8, 2013, losing the last two meetings.
The Titans and Steelers are set to kick off at 7:00 p.m. CT on Sunday in Nissan Stadium.
