While a few of the top teams had statement wins, others were less convincing, with No. 12 Miami Central (Fla.) surviving a close one against Miami Northwestern (Fla.), No. 23 Walton (Ga.) sneaking by North Cobb (Ga.), and No. 22 Chandler (Ariz.) suffering its first defeat of the season along with No. 18 Columbus (Miami, Fla.).
All of it only adds to the expected shakeup in next week’s USA TODAY HSS Super 25.
