USA TODAY Amway Coaches Poll released – Where is Georgia?

Following Georgia’s top-ten home win over Notre Dame, the Bulldogs stayed put at No. 3 in the most recent edition of the Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY.

Georgia did not play its best football, but it played good enough to take down  the Irish, who came into the game at No. 7 in the country.

Still ahead of Georgia are Clemson (1) and Alabama (2), which both played cupcakes games on Saturday and won with ease.

The full top-ten is:

1. Clemson

2. Alabama

3. Georgia

4. Oklahoma

5. LSU

6. Ohio State

7. Auburn

8. Florida

9. Wisconsin

10. Notre Dame

So, Georgia still has a top-ten win for the time being. Now the Dawgs just need Notre Dame to keep winning.

Looking ahead to future Georgia opponents, the Bulldogs have two more slated games vs teams currently ranked in the top-ten.

Auburn, sitting at No. 7, has beaten ranked Oregon and Texas A&M teams and is looking like the real deal with a stout defensive line.

Florida, which I’m so not sold on yet, has not really beaten anybody yet, but did look good against Tennessee on Saturday, winning 34-3.

Let’s go ahead and assume Georgia makes the SEC Championship, there’s three teams in the west that could just beat up on each other in Alabama, LSU and Auburn. Whichever team Georgia plays in Atlanta will likely be ranked No. 2 at the time of the meeting.
