USA boss Gregg Berhalter makes decision on Leeds United duo for Iran World Cup crunch match

Leeds United's Tyler Adams has once again been named in the USA's starting line-up for their crucial group B World Cup crunch match against Iran.

Adams, who was named US captain prior to the tournament, starts in midfield alongside Yunus Musah and Weston McKennie for the third game in a row.

The USA need a win to ensure they progress to the next round of the World Cup, with top spot still up for grabs depending on how England's game with Wales pans out.

Fellow Whites team mate Brenden Aaronson has once again been named on the bench by USA boss Gregg Berhalter. The 22-year-old has come on off the bench in both of the USA's prior World Cup games but has not done enough to be given a starting berth.

Alongside Adams, Chelsea's Christian Pulisic, Arsenal's Matt Turner and Fulham's Antonee Robinson and Tim Ream are the other Premier League players named in the USA starting XI.

Elsewhere in group B, Wales have named Dan James in their starting line-up to face England. James, who is currently on loan at Fulham, has featured in both of Wales' other two group stage games.

Should Wales beat England, they will have a slender chance of qualifying for the knockout stages after drawing to the USA and losing to Iran.
