US President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued another warning to Iran amid a failing truce, threatening to destroy a bridge or power plant in the country every time Tehran targets a ship passing through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on Truth Social, the two-time US President said the warning would apply to any attack carried out by Iran using missiles, rockets, drones or other weapons.
“From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT,” Trump wrote.

The US President added that potential targets could include infrastructure in or around the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Trump’s latest warning comes just a day after he signalled that Washington’s military campaign against Iran may be far from over, suggesting that a deeply buried nuclear facility known as Pickaxe Mountain could soon be in the crosshairs.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday during a White House meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, the businessman-turned-politician said the United States was “not finished at all” with Iran and warned that the underground site could be the next target of US military action.
“We’ll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily,” Trump said. While acknowledging that he would not normally reveal potential military targets in advance, he added that “there’s not a thing they can do about it.”
Pickaxe Mountain, located near Iran’s Natanz nuclear complex, is a deeply buried site where Western intelligence agencies suspect Tehran may be developing an undeclared uranium enrichment facility.
Trump also claimed that the damage inflicted during the ongoing conflict had already dealt Iran a setback that could take decades to overcome.
“If we left right now, it would take Iran 20, 25 years to rebuild. Okay, and we’re not finished at all... we’re not leaving right now,” he said.
The increasingly forceful warnings come as tensions remain high across the Middle East. Iran expanded its attacks across the region on Tuesday, with strikes reported in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, two weeks after hostilities between the United States and Iran resumed.
