US TV News anchor's brilliant response after Irish social media call him out on drawing number 8

With Joe Biden narrowly edging ahead in Georgia, it appears that the Democratic candidate is moving closer to the White House. On Thursday night, President Trump delivered an extraordinary speech in which he made baseless allegations that unnamed opponents of his are "trying to steal an election" and "trying to rig an election."

At present, there have been no reported incidents of electoral fraud.

Aside from this, Trump claimed that he "won" the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia, citing his substantial early leads in the vote counts there. Trump did hold a lead before all of the votes were counted but as expected, the mail-in ballots have been decisive and according to CNN projections, Trump has lost Wisconsin and Michigan.

Ever since election night, CNN's John King has become a darling of those watching because his work with their touchscreen wall has been phenomenal. With so much data to mine through and digest, King has delivered a broadcasting tour-de-force and his energy, enthusiasm, and accuracy has impressed viewers.

The coverage has been excellent but viewers took umbrage with one small detail of King's work with the touchscreen, the strange way that he draws the number 8.

Rather than make a series of interlocking curves in one fluid motion, King prefers to draw two circles.

In terms of the social media commentary, King's unique style definitely piqued curiosity with people noting "obsessed with how John King draws '8,' 'John King makes snowman 8’s,' and even Simon Harris chipped in and said he's captivated by the oddity: "Same here! 2 “0” on top of each other. If it’s good enough for John King..."

After an interesting night for King on social media after he declared himself Irish following a funny message that was sent by Derry Girls writer Lisa McGee, the CNN broadcaster explained why he draws his '8s' in such a peculiar way.

He said: "Yeah, the nuns tried their best" after Irish social media users including Minister Simon Harris spoke about how he draws the figure 8.

Given how excellent his coverage has been so far, we're certain that viewers will be able to overlook this one!.
